Jennifer Andrews—a scientist by training, marketer by profession—created the company after noticing that scientific businesses consistently faced the same problem: not being able to effectively translate complex subject matter into compelling marketing messaging.

As Founder and Chief Marketing Strategist at FreshLeaf, Jennifer brings over 10 years of experience in marketing and communications in the life sciences, including as Director of Marketing for a natural health research and regulatory firm.
A self-described nerd with an insatiable creative streak, Jennifer is passionate about marketing because it brings together arts and science to achieve results. To date, she has worked with brands in the natural health, food, research, and healthcare sectors. Jennifer’s specialties include marketing strategy, brand identity and messaging, and full stack digital marketing.
Jennifer serves as a business mentor and industry expert with Innovation Guelph, an accelerator for life science, agri-innovation, food, clean tech, and other industries. A strong believer in personal growth and development, she also mentors recent graduates and entrepreneurs throughout Southwestern Ontario.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in biology and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in human health and nutrition from the University of Guelph, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University.
